On the 2nd of November 2008 Team Vegan members participated in what was probably one of the most gruelling events we have done yet - the Adidas Auckland Marathon. Team Vegan entered a team of eight: Rosemary Soryl and Mel Sharman in the marathon, Aaron Koolen, Michael Bourke, David Tong & Polly Sharman in the half marathon, and Nichola Jones & Elliot Pryor ran the quarter marathon event. Well done everyone. For many it was the first time they had ever gone these distances, a fabulous day and great achievement for all! Afterwards the team went for a celebratory lunch at Mexicali.
